Anthony Wayne community rallies around teacher with stage 4 cancer

WHITEHOUSE, Ohio — Students at Anthony Wayne High School held an event on Saturday to raise money for a Waterville Primary School teacher who is battling stage 4 colon cancer.

Inspired by their Strike Out Cancer event last year that helped raise money for one of the moms of an Anthony Wayne softball player, student organizers decided to make the fundraiser an annual event.

The Anthony Wayne Community Engagement class held this year’s event in honor of third grade teacher Tiffany Prayter, who has taught in the district for 17 years…
