City of Toledo awarded grant to demolish former health district building

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The City of Toledo has received a $571,342 grant to demolish a city-owned building formerly leased to the Toledo-Lucas County Regional Health District.

The grant from the Ohio Brownfield Remediation Program will fund asbestos removal and demolition of the 73-year-old building, which requires more than $10 million in capital improvements.
