TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo Public Schools plans to sell its former administration building to Lucas Metropolitan Housing (LMH) for just $1, LMH CEO Senghor Manns told WTOL 11 Tuesday.
The school district and LMH executed a purchase agreement on the building between December and January, Manns said. The building itself, called the Thurgood Marshall Building, is located on East Manhattan Boulevard in north Toledo, and is the site of the district’s former administration building.
While LMH will be getting the building for a single dollar, Manns said the structure is in need of $19 to $21 million worth of renovations.
