Toledo food programs prepare for summer surge as donations decline

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – For many kids, summer means sleeping in, pool days and time away from the classroom. But for some families, it also means losing reliable access to breakfast and lunch.

Organizations like Seagate Food Bank and Connecting Kids to Meals are preparing for increased need while dealing with fewer donations and less food coming in.
