TOLEDO, Ohio — Construction is now underway at Rev. H.V. Savage Park in Central Toledo, as the city begins a more than $2.1 million effort to revitalize the aging neighborhood park.
The project is part of a bigger, roughly $4 million investment into park improvement projects across Toledo that city leaders announced last week.
Crews have already started demolishing the old pool and splash pad at the park, both of which city leaders say had reached the end of their useful lives. The splash pad had also experienced mechanical and compliance issues over the last two summers…
