Woman killed in early morning I-75 crash near Perrysburg

PERRYSBURG, Ohio — A woman is dead and two others are injured following an early morning vehicle crash Friday on I-75 north beyond State Route 582 (Middleton Pike).

The crash occurred sometime before 4:30 a.m. when authorities said a woman driving a white minivan attempted to merge into traffic and struck a box truck. Ohio State Highway Patrol officials said nearby construction is believed to have obscured her view.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital where she died. Two passengers, a man and small child, were not wearing seatbelts and appeared to be lying down in the back of the minivan, officials said. Both were also hospitalized with injuries described as non-life-threatening…
