The Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Ohio Traffic Safety Office awarded $53,488.42 in federal traffic safety funding to Sandusky County for fiscal year 2026, Sandusky County Sheriff Christopher J.
The deputies will enforce all traffic laws, with emphasis on impaired driving, speed enforcement, seat belt violations and distracted driving. The overtime is part of a grant received by the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services Traffic Safety Section.
