TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Temperatures will dip slightly today, but will still run a few degrees above the seasonal average. Daytime heating and lingering moisture will help showers and thunderstorms develop later this afternoon and evening. Storm chances for Tucson have decreased a bit, with the best chances remaining south and east of town. Afternoon and evening storm chances continue through the workweek, again favoring areas south and east of Tucson.
The modest cooldown holds into early next week, then temperatures trend upward later in the week and into the weekend, with extreme heat returning.
