TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – This morning is starting off hot in Pima and Santa Cruz counties, while scattered showers and embedded thunderstorms move south across Cochise County. Dangerous, extreme heat continues to impact Southern Arizona today, with the Extreme Heat Warning in effect through Monday evening.
Shower and thunderstorm chances remain south and east of Tucson today, with only a slim chance for the metro area. Any storms that develop could produce gusty outflow winds, leading to blowing dust and reduced visibility. Daily rain and storm chances continue through the week, bringing a slight cooldown though highs will stay in the triple digits.
