Monsoon moisture brings active storms today before another rain boost next week

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) -A more active weather day is on tap across Southeast Arizona, with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms developing later this afternoon and evening. The primary hazards with any developing storms will be localized flash flooding, heavy downpours, gusty winds, and blowing dust.

Parts of Santa Cruz and southwest Cochise counties have already received heavy rainfall recently. With the ground already saturated, stay weather aware for any localized flooding.

Evening storm chances will linger throughout our 7-day forecast, with rain chances increasing even for the Tucson metro by the middle of next week.
