Oro Valley expects its Central Arizona Project allocation of water to be reduced by 14% beginning in January, according to water utility director Peter Abraham.
That cut amounts to 1,443-acre feet of Oro Valley’s 10,305-acre-foot allocation of water from the Colorado River system, Abraham told the town’s water utility commission on Sept. 14. If it holds, Oro Valley’s share of CAP water would be 8,862-acre feet in the next water year.
