TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Tucson Mayor and Council adopted a new action plan for the city’s Prosperity Initiative during a study session Tuesday, marking the next phase of a program created in 2022 in partnership with Pima County to end poverty.
The decision follows years of research into poverty levels in Tucson, which show the city has a higher poverty rate than state and national averages.
