Local prospects highlight Arizona Fall League’s return to Tucson

PIMA COUNTY (Oct. 9, 2026) — The Arizona Fall League, returning to Tucson on Oct. 10 for the first time since 2002, will feature four Major League Baseball prospects with local ties.

The doubleheader at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium will include four of the six teams in the Phoenix-area league, which showcases top prospects from all 30 Major League Baseball organizations.

Tickets are available now for both games. Kids 10 and under receive free admission with a ticketed adult.

  • 12:30 p.m. — Peoria Javelinas vs. Mesa Solar Sox
  • 3:30 p.m. — Scottsdale Scorpions vs. Salt River Rafters

Each of the four Arizona Fall League (AFL) teams includes a prospect with local ties:

  • Infielder Demetrio Crisantes (Rafters) – The Nogales High School graduate is the Arizona Diamondbacks’ No. 1 prospect and No. 84 overall, according to MLB.com.
  • Infielder Cade McGee (Javelinas) – Born in Tucson, McGee attended Salpointe Catholic High School and was a ninth-round pick of the St. Louis Cardinals in 2024.
  • Outfielder Brendan Summerhill (Scorpions) – He was the 42nd overall pick in the 2025 draft after hitting .343 as a junior for the Arizona Wildcats in 2025.
  • Infielder Mason White (Solar Sox) – The Salpointe Catholic graduate played three years at Arizona and ranks second in the Wildcats’ record book with 49 career home runs. He was a fourth-round pick of the Boston Red Sox in 2025.
