TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – All wind alerts have been allowed to expire. Now, our focus turns to an uptick in rain chances. Tucson sits at a 30% chance of rain tonight and tomorrow. Most of Southeast Arizona will sit around a 20-40% chance of rain during that time period as moisture streams in from the south. Rain chances persist into next week as a deep trough moves in from the west coast and continues to pull in southerly moist air ahead of its arrival. The best chances for rain next week look to be Wednesday and Thursday. The deep trough and tightening pressure gradient look to possibly bring back gusty winds around that time period.
As for temperatures, we’ll remain slightly below normal the next few days before raising highs to right around normal for Tuesday and Wednesday. After that, temps look to drop back into the 70s and below normal into next weekend.
