TUCSON, Ariz. – A Tucson man has been given a lifetime prison sentence after he was found guilty of murdering a deputy U.S. marshal in 2018. Ryan Schlesinger, 31, was sentenced Monday in court after a federal jury convicted him of second-degree murder of a federal officer, three counts of attempted murder of a federal officer, four counts of assaulting a federal officer and five counts of discharging a firearm during a violent offense.
