FAA finds violation occurred during mid-air close call near Tucson

TUCSON (3TV/CBS 5) – The FAA said on Tuesday somebody broke the rules when two planes nearly collided mid-air near Tucson in July. In an email to Arizona’s Familiy, federal investigators said “a violation of an order, regulation or standard of the FAA occurred.” The government agency added it’s “taking appropriate action to address the matter.”
