TUCSON – The City of Tucson Department of Transportation & Mobility (DTM) invites residents and visitors to participate in Park(ing) Day, a global event aimed at reimagining curbside parking spaces, according to the city.

The event is set for Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on W Congress Street, between Avenida del Convento and Paseo de los Zanjeros.

During this time, parking spaces will be temporarily converted into green spaces and gathering areas.

Park(ing) Day will feature games, pop-up food vendors, parklets, and opportunities for the public to learn about upcoming DTM projects, such as the Congress Street/Grande Avenue Safety Project and the Grande Avenue Pedestrian Safety and Walkability Project, according to the city.
