Utah’s Cam Rising Deemed ‘Game-Time Decision’ Ahead of Arizona Clash

The Utes are set to face off against their old Pac-12 foe, the Arizona Wildcats, in what will be the first-ever Big -12 Matchup between the two. After missing last year’s loss in Tuscon due to a season-ending injury, Cam Rising may be unavailable again in Utah’s Week 5 clash.

Last week against Oklahoma State, many thought that Rising would be the man under center, but a change in his status to a “game-time decision” led to true freshman Isaac Wilson getting his second straight start, and second straight win in his blossoming collegiate career.

In the leadup to this week’s bout against the Wildcats, many fans speculated that Wilson would be under center again simply due to how well he performed against the Cowboys, but also because the team will enter a week six bye, giving Rising extra time to fully recover before returning against Arizona State.

The Vegas odds also dropped in Zona’s favor from 11.5 (Utah) to 9.5 (Utah), which only fueled the fire to the Wilson rumors. ESPN’s Pete Thamel has officially confirmed that Rising is a “game-time decision,” signaling a repeat situation reminiscent of Stillwater.
