Deadly bat disease found in Arizona for first time

PHOENIX — A bat in southern Arizona has tested positive for a deadly disease.

Its called white-nose syndrome and officials from Arizona Game and Fish said its almost like bird flu for bats.

“And it has a devastating effect on bat populations. So, yeah, we are concerned about it,” Jamey Driscoll with the department said. “We will be monitoring it in the future.”…
