(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College softball team (23-1) hosted a non-conference doubleheader on Friday at the West Campus Aztec Field against Miles Community College (11-8).
The Aztecs picked up the sweep over the Pioneers as sophomore Alyssa Noriega (Pueblo HS) closed out her day going 4 for 7 with five RBIs and two runs scored while freshman Jiselle Nunez (Tucson Magnet HS) finished 3 for 5 with five RBIs, three runs and two walks.
Aubrey Marx (Cienega HS) went 4 for 7 with an RBI and four runs and sophomore Talia Martin (Mountain View HS) finished 3 for 6 with two RBIs, four runs and three walks. Freshman Taiya Teixeira (Salpointe Catholic HS) was 4 for 7 with an RBI and two runs while sophomore Natalya Rivera (Sunnyside HS) went 3 for 7 with three RBIs and two runs.
