Marana honors town’s tradition as population continues to grow

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Kent Gladden’s family has farmed in Marana for over 100 years.

He’s seen the town change, but this year’s Founders Day Parade reminded him of the town his family helped form.

“When your family starts out here, as one of the first farmers in the area and then you see the change, you know, all the farms, all the people that we grew up with, all the farmers — it’s all rooftops now,” said Gladden. “And I’m a country boy. this was country.”…
