TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Mild to start…with most readings in the 40′s and 50′s. Warming quickly late this morning through afternoon, where most of the day will be spent in the 80′s. Target high today around 90.
Tomorrow, a brief heat bump hits with Tuesday promising to break the existing high of 94, with a target of 96. By Tuesday night into Wednesday, moisture bubbles up from the south, and scattered clouds will enter the forecast. This will help cap heat breaking temps, while remaining quite hot in the lower 90′s. There is an outside chance of a shower in the higher elevations of Cochise county. While virga will evaporate most of any rain, the threat will be dry lightning, although that appears very isolated.
A new trough digging in by week’s end, will shave away these lofty temps, but we’ll still sail above our averages into the weekend…
