Pima men’s & women’s T&F teams record four new NJCAA outdoor qualifying performances

The Pima Community College men’s and women’s track & field teams achieved four new NJCAA outdoor national qualifying marks/times at the Distance in the Dark, Mesa Multi’s and the Cody McBride Invitational this weekend in Phoenix.

Freshmen Charles Borowsky and Martin Valencia-Felix (both graduates of St. Augustine) took the top two spots in the javelin throw. Borowsky took first place and set his national qualifier at 59.56 meters (195-feet, 5-inches). He is now No. 3 in Pima school history.

Valencia-Felix improved on his national qualifier set last week. He finished in second place with a mark of 57.14 meters (187-5). His best throw last week was 53.84 meters (176-1)…
