Tucson Fire using new tool to train for gas line breaks

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A new mock pipe system will help train Tucson firefighters on how best to respond to gas leaks.

It was built by Southwest Gas and offers hands-on training on something that is usually not easily demonstrated.

Firefighters attach a canister of air to one set of pipes and open valves to get air flowing to another set. That air then rushes out, simulating a real gas leak…
