Tucson Electric Power has let about 1,300 of its customers know they may experience temporary power outages — at some point — under a new plan to help mitigate wildfire risk.
TEP spokesperson Joseph Barrios says this would be in limited areas during extreme conditions and circumstances.
“This is a measure of last resort for us, and it’s intended to prevent conditions that could cause a wildfire. It’s intended to protect the very communities that are concerned about this,” Barrios said…
