PHOENIX – A Tucson man was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison for methamphetamine possession, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona.
Jose Fernando McCormick, 52, was sentenced on Friday after previously pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
McCormick had approximately 8 kilograms of methamphetamine in his truck when he drove to a gas station in Tucson on Oct. 3 2024, authorities said. McCormick planned to distribute the meth to someone at the gas station but as law enforcement officers tried to stop him, he fled the scene…
