Lexa Raquel has done the hard work necessary to not only wail the blues, but sing funk, R&B, rock, jazz and everything in between.
A Tucson native, she has been a featured performer at concerts in nearly every genre of music, and at one time even was signed to a label. Though that last part was a valuable learning experience, it confirmed her desire to not be pushed by what someone else thought she should do. “We recorded an album in Nashville with studio musicians at one of the best studios,” she recalls of the unreleased project. “I didn’t have the creative control that I do now.”…
