Tucson leaders provide new details on 100 Acre Wood Park project

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Tucson leaders laid out plans for the 100 Acre Wood Park. The city has been trying to turn the 100 acres of land near East Golf Links Road and North Alvernon Way into a bike park for more than a decade.

The initial idea for the park came after cyclists in the area cited a need for the community, which is what some residents spoke about in the meeting Thursday night.

“I don’t really see a lot of places where little kids, little two, three, or four-year-old kids, can go and just hang out and ride their bikes off-road on trails that aren’t crazy hard,” Tucson resident Molly Cameron said…
