Mexican citizen indicted on federal charges for murder of Tucson man

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News/AZFamily) – A murder suspect accused of killing a Tucson man and being in the United States illegally is now facing federal charges.

The Department of Justice says a federal grand jury in Tucson returned a five-count indictment against 42-year-old Julio Cesar Aguirre. The indictment included attempted carjacking resulting in death, weapons violations and immigration-related charges.

Aguirre is accused of shooting 69-year-old Ricky E. Miller during an attempted carjacking on June 30. Miller Sr. later died from his injuries.

The Department of Justice says Aguirre is a Mexican citizen who was previously removed from the United States in 2013. DOJ officials say he was living in the country illegally at the time of the shooting…
