Tucson buys 21,000 acre-feet of water credits to boost future supply

Since late June 2019, Tucson Water has been recharging treated wastewater into the dry channel of the Santa Cruz River, creating a riparian oasis.

The City of Tucson just bought 21,000 acre-feet of groundwater storage credits from the Bureau of Reclamation.
