Walker Fire burning in southern Arizona now 50% contained

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Crews are battling a new wildfire burning in southern Arizona.

The Walker Fire started on the southeastern side of the Santa Rita Mountains, within the Walker Basin near the Temporal Gulch, on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

By 8 p.m. Wednesday, it had burned 15 acres with no containment. The Coronado National Forest said no structures are threatened…
