Good Samaritan family asking Laura Conover to recuse herself from murder case

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The family of Paul Clifford, who was killed last Christmas Eve, is asking for Pima County Attorney Laura Conover to recuse herself from the case.

Clifford was murdered last year after offering to help a stranger who claimed to have car troubles. His body was found next to a burning car in the Reddington Pass area.

Jack Upchurch, Elmer Smith, and Wendy Scott were facing charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery, aggravated robbery, kidnapping, vehicle theft, third-degree burglary, and evidence tampering.
