TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Tucson Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is raising awareness for sickle cell disease through a community event that mixes education with family fun.
The organization is hosting an after-school fair Friday, Sept. 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Skate Country. The goal is to bring families together while spotlighting the impact of sickle cell anemia, a genetic disorder that can lead to serious health complications in children, including pneumonia and stroke.
