HSSA serves as hub for multi-state pet rescue

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Humane Society of Southern Arizona is helping to save dozens of homeless animals.

They’re serving as the hub for a multi-state rescue effort that will give nearly 50 dogs and cats a second chance at getting adopted in states where families are waiting.

Cats were flown into Tucson on Saturday as a pit stop on their way to states where the adoption demand is bigger. Dozens of animals who are currently in overcrowded shelters will soon be flown to states where the need for adoptable pets is needed…
