TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Plans for a data center in Pima County are back on after TEP filed with the ACC for an energy service agreement with Beale Infrastructure.
That filing has advocates opposed to the project focused on making electricity in the city public.
“Project Blue opened a deal with TEP so TEP has been the leverage point for Project Blue to come back to Tucson,” No Desert Data Center Coalition organizer Eliseo Gomez said. “Tucson Water is a public utility and that’s why we had so much leverage in the first fight. If TEP was a public utility, we’d have the same amount of leverage in the fight here.”…
