Controlled Burns Planned Near Summerhaven and Willow Canyon to Reduce Wildfire Risk

The Santa Catalina Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest near Tucson, Arizona, plans to conduct prescribed fire operations from November 17, 2025, through March 2026. These controlled burns will depend on weather conditions. The goal is to reduce overgrown vegetation and lower wildfire risk to communities, infrastructure, and natural resources.
