Rebounding dominance helps lead Wildcats over Aztecs

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Arizona may not have shot the ball well on Saturday, but dominance on the glass played a large role in the 68-45 win over San Diego State.

Tobe Awaka finished with 9 points and 15 rebounds in 22 minutes of action as he continued to be the best rebounder in the country.

“If people aren’t paying attention, I don’t know what to tell them,” Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd said. “It was amazing what he did. To be honest with you, the only guy I can compare him with, with just how he impacts a game with effort and toughness, is Domantas Sabonis. An NBA All-Star.
