Trapped dog helped by Arizona firefighters on Christmas Eve

TUCSON, Ariz. — A car fire in southern Arizona turned into a rescue mission on Christmas Eve after a dog became trapped underneath a vehicle.

The Tucson Fire Department was clearing the scene of a car fire on Dec. 24 when crew members noticed drivers attempting to flag them down. The bystanders were alerting the firefighters to a dog that had become trapped underneath a car.

Tucson fire said the dog apparently jumped in front of the vehicle and its paw was stuck underneath a rear tire. The vehicle was shifted into neutral and the crew carefully rolled the car forward in order to free the scared pup…
