Dec. 26 (UPI) — Firefighters in Arizona said a large dog was lucky to evade serious injury when it was run over by a car and got one of its paws partially stuck under a tire.
The Tucson Fire Department said Engine 16’s crew was headed back to the station from an unrelated call on Christmas Eve when they were flagged down by a group of several drivers.
“A dog had been running down the roadway and jumped in front of a car. The driver slammed on the brakes and stopped, but the dog’s paw became partially stuck under the rear tire,” the department said on social media.
