Construction to begin on Irvington and I-19 in 2026

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Arizona Department of Transportation plans to start a nearly two-year, $80 million project this spring that will replace the I-19 interchange at Irvington Road.

The project will reduce congestion and increase safety in an area where traffic is increasing, according to ADOT.

“The Irvington project will have wider on-ramps so that traffic can merge more safely onto the highway. Also, we’ll be widening the overpass across I-19 so there are more lanes of traffic,” said Garin Groff with the Arizona Department of Transportation…
