‘Flawed’ Arizona data center deal needs redo, attorney general says

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes is petitioning state utility regulators to redo a vote that paved the way for Tucson Electric Power to provide hundreds of megawatts of power to a controversial data center development.

In recent filings, her office alleged that the Arizona Corporation Commission “rubber-stamped” a deal between the utility and a company linked to the developers of Project Blue, approving the agreement without an evidentiary hearing.
