Drexel Heights Fire District and the Pascua Yaqui Fire Department responded to a double-wide trailer fire at around 5:15 p.m. Monday in the 6300 block of South Speaks Trail.
According to the Santa Rita Fire District, upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire conditions with approximately 50 percent of the structure involved. Due to the presence of multiple exposures in the yard, including several vehicles, an RV, and another trailer located to the rear, crews initiated a defensive firefighting strategy to prevent fire spread.
By 7 p.m., the fire was currently under control, and crews remained on scene conducting overhaul and cooling remaining hot spots. Fire investigators were also on scene to conduct an investigation to determine the cause and origin of the fire. There are no reported injuries at this time…
