Here’s another gem of a tale that really crystallizes why Tucson is central to major specimens of world-class gems, minerals & fossils trading hands…

This 8,000 pound mammoth crystal found in Arkansas in 2016 by Ron Coleman Mining, went to Tucson for sale, sold to private collectors, Patricia and Michael Berns, who donated the piece to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC.
