Tucson Electric Power is planning for a new transmission line that would connect a proposed Sahuarita substation to Tucson’s North Alvernon Substation.
TEP Project Manager Chris Ortiz y Pino presented the Santa Rita Connection Project to the Sahuarita Town Council this week. He said a new transmission line would enhance the capacity for current power loads.
“In 2019, our distribution planning engineers identified that three of the circuits at that time were at 75% capacity which, more or less, means it’s time for us to start planning new facilities,” Ortiz y Pino said…
