Tucson motel catches on fire for at least fourth time in two years

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – For at least the fourth time in two years, a historic motel in Tucson caught on fire.

The Tucson Fire Department said crews were called to the Old Spanish Trail Motel, located near South Fourth Avenue and Interstate 10, late Friday, Feb. 5.

The TFD said the first engine was on scene in five minutes and found a small fire in the structure. Crews battled the blaze from the outside, and it was under control in less than 30 minutes.

There were no reported injuries, and the cause is under investigation…
