Tucson music lovers have a reason to mark their calendars for Saturday, March 28, when the new concert venue La Rosa Tucson hosts Tapestry: The Album (The Music of Carole King). Acclaimed vocalist Katherine Byrnes will lead the evening, performing the entirety of King’s iconic 1971 Grammy®-winning album, followed by a selection of her 118 Billboard-charting hits.
The performance, presented by Khris Dodge Entertainment, showcases Tucson’s finest musicians including Ryan Alfred (bass), Khris Dodge (keyboards), Rylande Dodge (drums), and Aaron Hulstrand (guitar). Byrnes, an international performer who calls Tucson home, says she strives to let the songs “propel themselves, tell a story, and teach me how to sing them.” From I Feel the Earth Move to (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman, the show promises an intimate, soulful journey through one of rock’s greatest albums.
La Rosa co-owner David Slutes notes, “Tapestry: The Album was made for La Rosa. Katherine Byrnes is an integral part of Tucson’s artist community, and hearing her voice fill this space will be unforgettable.”…
