Join Watershed Management Group for a hands-on River Run Network Restoration Workshop on Thursday, April 2 at the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area. Participants will help enhance floodplain habitat along Sabino Creek while learning low-tech restoration methods that slow water flow, retain sediment, and improve infiltration. You’ll get practical experience building one rock dams (ORDs) and supporting native vegetation growth to strengthen the riparian ecosystem. The session will be led by Jace Lankow, Lizbeth Perez, and Alfredo Vasquez from WMG’s restoration team.
