TUCSON, AZ (March 25, 2026) — KB Home purchased 13.2 acres from the Arizona State Land Department at public auction for future residential development in Tucson.
Located at the northwest corner of East Irvington Road and South Wingate Boulevard on Tucson’s east side, near Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and the University of Arizona, the parcel totals approximately 13.20 acres, more or less, according to auction materials. It sold for $1.32 million, equal to the appraised value.
The land was offered by the Arizona State Land Department and sold to KB Home, adding to the builder’s pipeline in the Tucson market. Specific plans for the site have not yet been announced, but the acreage is expected to be developed for housing. Depending on final entitlements and product type, the 13.2-acre site could likely support roughly 40 to 60 single-family homes, with higher yields possible under a smaller-lot plan…
