The 44th Tucson International Mariachi Conference Celebrates Culture and Community

The Tucson International Mariachi Conference returns for its 44th year from April 29 to May 3, 2026, with five days of mariachi and folklórico performances, workshops, and cultural celebrations. Established in 1982, it is the longest-running event of its kind in the United States, honoring the rich history and tradition of mariachi and Mexican folklórico.

At the center of the conference are workshops where students of all levels learn from world-renowned artists. Vocalists, instrumentalists, and dancers prepare for performances while gaining a deeper understanding of the culture behind the music and dance.
