Soils at the bottom of an abandoned Oro Valley golf course irrigation pond are contaminated, according to a board-certified environmental scientist.
“This is hazardous waste,” Charles Stack said, gesturing toward the 2.5-acre empty pond within the Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve. “We have a problem here.”
